By surviving, Ivy is drawn into the conflict between the Martis and the Valefar. The war between these two immortal forces has raged for millennia without distraction. Until now.

Ivy is an anomaly-she is the only person who has ever walked away from a demon kiss alive. Her survival gives her unique and deadly abilities. Too powerful to ignore, Ivy is a threat to both armies. These two ancient enemies will stop at nothing to kill the seventeen-year-old.

Surviving is nothing new for headstrong Ivy, but her survival has never depended on another person before. This time it does. And if she misplaces her trust, she’s dead. To her horror, she starts falling in love at the worst possible time-with the enemy. He appears to be protecting her. REVIEW: 5 STARS–NOT TO BE MISSED!

Demon Kissed = the best book EVER!!!!!!! It is more than a exiting thriller, this book is so good you won’t know how to describe it!!!!  When Ivy’s hair was in purple flames that was so good. I felt like I there watching it happen like I was in the book–seeing and feeling it all. It was the most amazing super duper exciting wild book I’ve ever read.

The bad people/ villains in DEMON KISSED are called Valefars.  They were humans that had their souls sucked out by demons.  They are immortal and super bad.  Martis are humans that were given angel blood to help them kill off all the Valefar.  Ivy gets into a weird spot because she’s both.  That makes everyone want to kill her.  She doesn’t know who to trust.

It was a great story that had a fast pace. It was like a thriller, adventure, & romance mix. It’s a good combination. I can relate to Ivy in some ways.  She’s like a real person.  GO H.M. WARD!!!! U ROCK!!!!!!!! I WANT MY BEDROOM TO BE THEMED DEMON KISSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

REVIEW: 3 STARS

Shadowland was good, but not as strong as the previous books in this paranormal series. The villain is once again Roman (who was introduced in the 2nd book), but for some reason it wasn’t as good.  I gave this book three stars because, it just wasn’t…..strong. The plot line is good, but the drama and action I saw in the first two books is gone. There is still some action, but….eh.

Ever is Ever. She has a strong sense of being stubborn in this book (Eh) which also led her to some bad choices.

Damen wasn’t the best character in the book. He was very distant and not his dangerous self. I found this change another reason to give the book three stars.

The ending was okay, but Ever screwed up, HUGE. It wasn’t a favorite ending, but it ended strong.

Shadowland took place in California, in a nice town. It has a beach and houses, and some weird shops. This book is part of the Immortals series by Alyson Noel.  It is preceded by Evermore and Blue Moon.

A Pirate Princess Review

Description: “The undead can really screw up your senior year…

Marrying a vampire definitely doesn’t fit into Jessica Packwood’s senior year “get-a-life” plan. But then a bizarre (and incredibly hot) new exchange student named Lucius Vladescu shows up, claiming that Jessica is a Romanian vampire princess by birth—and he’s her long-lost fiancé. Armed with newfound confidence and a copy of Growing Up Undead: A Teen Vampire’s Guide to Dating, Health, and Emotions, Jessica makes a dramatic transition from average American teenager to glam European vampire princess. But when a devious cheerleader sets her sights on Lucius, Jess finds herself fighting to win back her wayward prince, stop a global vampire war—and save Lucius’s soul from eternal destruction.”

REVIEW: 5 STARS NOT TO BE MISSED!

Omg, three words. Crazy. Vampire. Love.  You can tell this will be a good review if it starts off like this, LoL!

This book this about a girl named Jessica who’s world was changed completely when a vampire named Lucius shows up on her doorstep claiming she’s a vampire princess, and his bride.

I liked the character’s personalities and how they acted. It was like I was watching. Like I could walk up and slap them and they’d reply.  At one point Jessica slapped Lucius across the face when he pissed her off. I loved that! LoL! Jessica got pissed and instead of storming off, she slapped a vampire prince across the face, go Jess!  Honestly, at the beginning, I thought that it was slow and I wouldn’t like it, but it sped up and I started LOVING it.  Give it time to get going if you like fast pace books.

If you like the VAMPIRE DIARIES, you’ll like this series. It has similar components, like the love triangle, but forms a different story.   Jake loves Jessica, Lucius loves Jessica, and Jessica is torn.  It adds an interesting romance to the story…..and some comedy.

This book is the first in a series that I have now finished ((*bows to the crowd*)) and I honestly can’t decide which was better. First or second? How to choose? Flip a coin? Nah, I’ll just say why they tied. JESSICA’S GUIDE TO DATING ON THE DARK SIDE was fun and it tied because of the comedy and that I couldn’t put it down((Seriously, I only put it down when I REALLY had too)). The second book, JESSICA RULES THE DARK SIDE (review to appear shortly), tied with the first because it was awesome and had good plot like the first one. The first book takes place in a small town in Pennsylvania.  Jess is a bit of a farm girl, which makes the scenes with her and Lucius funny. Farm tools are good weapons, btw. 😉

I would and will recommend for teen readers and people who like vampires.  Lucius is the showstopper in this book.  Grab it.  Read it.  You’ll like it!
