Shiver (The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #1) by Maggie Stiefvate
A Pirate Princess Review
DESCRIPTION: “For years, Grace has watched the wolves in the woods behind her house. One yellow-eyed wolf–her wolf–is a chilling presence she can’t seem to live without. Meanwhile, Sam has lived two lives: In winter, the frozen woods, the protection of the pack, and the silent company of a fearless girl. In summer, a few precious months of being human . . . until the cold makes him shift back again.
Now, Grace meets a yellow-eyed boy whose familiarity takes her breath away. It’s her wolf. It has to be. But as winter nears, Sam must fight to stay human–or risk losing himself, and Grace, forever.”

REVIEW: 5 STARS – NOT TO BE MISSED!
O.M.G! I rarely read a werewolf books, but I’m sooo into them now!
Grace is a girl who survived a wolf attack when she was young. When she finds out the secret the wolves hid, her world changes.
I loved the conflict in this book and how Grace acted. Isabel was snobby, but sarcastic, making her lovable (and funny!). SHIVER went at a steady pace, and the personalities of the characters were awesome!
SHIVER has a love story where the couple can’t be together. They can’t be together because a problem separates them. SHIVER is the first of a series (I’m reading the second one now!) and I think that so far, this one is better. Loved it!!! The main conflict in this book was Grace trying to find a cure to keep Sam a human and not a wolf (Cute!).
Ending. Was. FANTASTIC!
I loved that it was a happy and a perfectly paced ending. It was suspenseful and awesome!
I would recommend this book to YA paranormal romance lovers, mystery, action, and YA suspense readers.
