For the new NAC spacecraft Odyssey and her crew, the unimaginable facets of this untouched world are about to become reality.

The Odyssey’s maiden voyage is an epic adventure destined to make history. REVIEW:5 STARS-NOT TO BE MISSED!

I’m a sucker. This isn’t Scalzi, or Haldeman. We’re not talking about a modern science-fiction classic. At least, I doubt it. But, Currie does write an incredibly fun story, echoing elements of Star Trek, and even Haldeman. He’s created a story that lets the reader easily escape into their imagination for a few hours, and I had a great time doing it.

Apparently, I’m not the only one who appreciated Currie’s work. Into The Black is a re-release, now published by Amazon under its own Sci-Fi imprint. As I understand it, minor revisions were made and substantial editing was done, bringing the book to its current level of polish. I didn’t have the opportunity to see it in its original form, but was inspired by this book to start picking up a few of Currie’s other works. I’ve yet to be disappointed.

  1. I must say, after hearing the review on The Book Report earlier and now reading your review, this has definitely made it to the top of my reading list!

  2. A five ice creams rating is not to be ignored. Thanks for the review. I am looking around the web at the reviews because I see that this book is being reviewed on The Book Report radio show by Elaine Charles this weekend. I normally take her guidance in selecting my reading. Check out her show at http://www.bookreportradio.com

  3. This book has been given so many excellent reviews. They are previewing the audio book on The Book Report this week, I’m interested in what Elaine has to say but regardless I will definitely be buying this one.
