Princess of the Silver Woods (Princess #3) by Jessica Day George
Pirate Princess’s Review
DESCRIPTION: “When Petunia, the youngest of King Gregor’s twelve dancing daughters, is invited to visit an elderly friend in the neighboring country of Westfalin, she welcomes the change of scenery. But in order to reach Westfalin, Petunia must pass through a forest where strange two-legged wolves are rumored to exist. Wolves intent on redistributing the wealth of the noble citizens who have entered their territory. But the bandit-wolves prove more rakishly handsome than truly dangerous, and it’s not until Petunia reaches her destination that she realizes the kindly grandmother she has been summoned to visit is really an enemy bent on restoring an age-old curse. The stories of Red Riding Hood and Robin Hood get a twist as Petunia and her many sisters take on bandits, grannies, and the new King Under Stone to end their family curse once and for all.”

OH MY FREAKING AMAZING GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Petunia, the youngest of twelve sisters that were forced to dance at the Midnight Balls ten years ago, is the main character in this amazing book. Actually, there are two protagonists. Petunia, and a young man named Oliver.
This book has a wicked cool plot((One that suggests a 4th bookmight be coming)). The new King Under Stone has a plan; one that involves Petunia, her 11 sisters, and betrayal. This book takes place in a neighboring country of Westfalin and in Westfalin.
I enjoyed reading Jessica Day George’s writing. It’s always fun and exciting to read. The 12 sisters get reunited at the end and I was grinning ear to ear whenever Poppy made a comment. I had not yet read a book from Petunia’s point of view, so it was exciting for me to do so. Petunia is a bright spirit and enjoys gardening. One of my favorite parts was when Jessica made a reference to when Petunia was younger and how she’d burned a rosebush, because she’d learned how to make a fire. 🙂
Oliver was also an amazing character. I enjoyed learning about him and watching((Well, reading, but you get the point)) how he quickly got sucked into a problem that he wasn’t quite comfortable with. ^-^ Hehehehe..
Now, as for the ending…………..ARE YOU KIDDING ME JESSICA?! YOU LEAVE ME THAT ENDING, BUT YOU SAY THAT THIS IS THE LAST BOOK IN THE PRINCESS SERIES???!! You. Have. Got. To. Be. Freaking. Kidding. If not, plan on writing another book. Because you’re not just allowed to have Rose give that announcement, then finish the series.
I really want there to be another book as you can see. My reasons?
Reasons Why I Want Another Book:
1. Because of Rose’s announcement at the ending
2. Who’s the new King Under Stone?
3. Will the Under Stone brothers seek revenge?
4. I WANT TO READ MORE
Overall, this book gets 5 stars. It was absolutely amazing!!
I would recommend it to Jessica Day George fans, if you’ve read the previous two books, if you love magic, and if you’re okay with a little romance. Ages 12-Adult will have no problem reading this book. 😀
